Gantt Chart

Below is a screenshot of the Gantt chart I created before I started the production of the website. I created this so that I had a clear understanding and perspective of what I needed to do and how I can complete the necessary tasks in an organised and timely manner.

I began by organising the Gantt chart in three sections: Pre production, production and post production. This was just another measure to ensure that I am organised during the process of creating the website. The first section, pre production, included tasks such as going over and considering the client needs, making diagrams and mood boards and planning the content going into the websites. This was for the sake of knowing how I wanted my website to look and what sort of information I wanted to be present on there.

The second section, production, was the more practical part of the making of the website. This included the actual making of it and the addition of functioning buttons and interactive features. This also included the creation of aesthetics and graphics to make the website appear more visually appealing and eye-catching for viewers. I segregated each task in this section by deciding what days I wanted to create different interactive features, for example, one day I would create functional buttons and the next day I would create other interactive features such as an embedded video.

The last section, post production, was a relatively quick process that involved me going over the finalised website and checking it for bugs or any other issues. After doing a full review of the website (after checking each page, making sure each button / interactive feature functions correctly), I would assess the present issues and bugs and then resolve them. Once the client has checked and is happy with the finished website, the website will be republished for viewers to access again.
